Conventional & Aerobic Septic Systems Designed for Long-Term Performance

Whether you’re building a new home or replacing an old, failing system, Cyclone Septic & Plumbing delivers professional installation backed by experience and engineering expertise. Our family-owned, woman-led team has been serving Oklahoma since 2016, trusted for honest work, reliable service, and long-lasting results.

Which Type of Septic System Do You Need?

No two properties are the same and not every project starts from scratch. That’s why we start every project with a detailed evaluation to determine the best solution based on your lot size, soil profile, elevation, and long-term plans.

If your existing system is failing, undersized, or past its lifespan, replacement is the right solution. We remove the old equipment and install a system designed to handle today’s household demands — with less disruption to your property.

Conventional Septic Systems

Best for rural properties with suitable soil and drainage.

  • Passive, low-maintenance design
  • Larger footprint
  • Typically includes a septic tank + drainfield
  • Not dependent on electricity

Conventional systems are a great option for properties with adequate space and good percolation. When conditions are right, this type of system offers reliable, low-maintenance performance.

Aerobic Septic Systems

Best for properties with poor soil, high water tables, or small lot sizes.

  • Requires electricity and routine maintenance
  • Uses oxygen to break down waste faster
  • Produces cleaner effluent
  • Includes an aerator, control panel, pump tank, and spray system

Aerobic systems are highly effective when designed and maintained properly. We install components that meet current DEQ standards and offer service plans to keep the system running as intended.

Replacement vs. New Installation

When a system fails or needs upgrading, replacement isn’t just about removing the old tank—it’s an opportunity to re-design for performance and longevity. Our team handles safely abandoning outdated equipment and installing a new system built for your property.

FAQ's About Your Aerobic Installation

What happens during the onsite consultation?

A representative from Cyclone Septics will meet you on-site to talk about the system layout and installation. We will discuss:

  • Where to place the tank, sprinklers and control panel
  • Identify any underground utilities or other items that might affect the installation
  • What to do with leftover dirt (leave, spread or haul)
  • Ensure that the delivery truck can access the installation site
  • Discuss the installation date
What are the electrical requirements for an aerobic system?

Your aerobic septic systems will require a 120 volt electrical disconnect on a 30-amp breaker.

How long will the installation take?

Typically, we complete aerobic installations in one day. When we replace an existing system, your home is usually out of sewer service for less than half a day.

What will my lawn look like after the septic installation?

Expect lawn damage in the installation area. We’ll be utilizing heavy equipment and digging up a large amount of soil. We will smooth the ground as much as possible. However, there will still be a large area of dirt around where we are installing and the grade will be rough.

What about my irrigation system?

The installers can not avoid digging into irrigation lines and sprinkler heads. If your irrigation company marks the line locations before the installation it may prevent some damage. We will try our best to mark damaged sprinkler lines, but plan on contacting your irrigation company to make any necessary repairs and test the irrigation system.

The area around my septic tank has settled!

It is normal for dirt to settle around tanks. It can take up to a year or longer for the soil to settle completely. You can expect 12″ or more of settling.

Where can I learn more about my aerobic system?

Visit our online aerobic orientation or call to schedule on onsite orientation.

Does a truck need to get into my yard?

We use concrete tanks when we can for their durability and ease of installation, however, if a semi-truck can’t access your yard we can use a poly-tank.

What is the warranty on an aerobic system?

All of our aerobic systems have a minimum 2-year warranty.  Ask about our packages that include 5-year and 10-year warranties.
