Much of Central Oklahoma sits on tight clay that doesn’t absorb wastewater well, which is why aerobic systems are the most common choice here.
We handle the soil profile, design, permit, and installation. And because we service what we install, the same team is there for maintenance, repairs, and pumping for the life of the system.

- Septilink remote monitoring: Septilink watches your system around the clock and alerts you and us when something isn’t working, so a failed aerator or pump gets caught before it turns into a bigger problem. We were the first company in Oklahoma to offer real-time monitoring on aerobic systems.
- UV disinfection: Swap liquid bleach for ultraviolet disinfection. Instead of adding bleach monthly or quarterly, you replace a UV bulb every 2 years.
- Pretreatment tank: A 1,000-gallon tank ahead of the aerobic system improves treatment and can mean pumping less often.
- Sprinkler protection: King drains help keep sprinkler heads from freezing and breaking in winter.
Other Add-Ons
- Panel location: Mount the control panel on the house or on the tank, depending on what you prefer and what the site allows.
- Dirt haul-off: We can haul off the extra soil from the installation instead of leaving or spreading it.
- Sand backfill: Soil around a new tank settles over time. Sand backfill helps reduce that settling.
- Pump filter: A filter on the effluent pump can extend its lifespan.
- Reseeding or sod: We can reseed or sod the disturbed area so you’re not left with bare dirt.
- Conduit: Direct-bury industrial tray cable is standard. Conduit is available if you’d like it.

What Does an Aerobic System Cost?
Most aerobic systems we install in Central Oklahoma run between $9,000 and $15,000. Where yours lands depends on the size of your home, your site, and the options you choose. Book a site evaluation to get an estimate for your location.

Owning an Aerobic System
An aerobic system is a small treatment plant with motors and moving parts, and it works best when someone’s keeping an eye on it. Here’s what owning one looks like:
- Disinfection: Treated water is disinfected before it’s sprayed, so liquid bleach gets added monthly or quarterly depending on your water use. With UV disinfection, you replace a bulb every 2 years instead.
- Maintenance inspections: Aerobic systems need regular maintenance inspections to check the aerator, pumps, alarm, and spray heads. Our maintenance plans handle those for you, so you don’t have to remember them.
- Pumping: The trash tank needs pumping every 1 to 3 years. A pretreatment tank can stretch that out.
- Monitoring: With Septilink, you and our office get an alert when something isn’t working correctly.

FAQs About Your Aerobic Installation
A representative from Cyclone Septic & Plumbing will meet you on-site to talk about the system layout and installation. We will discuss:
- Where to place the tank, sprinklers, and control panel
- Underground utilities or anything else that might affect the installation
- What to do with leftover dirt (leave, spread, or haul)
- Whether the delivery truck can reach the installation site
- Your installation date
Your aerobic system requires a 120-volt electrical disconnect on a 30-amp breaker.
Typically, we complete aerobic installations in one day. When we replace an existing system, your home is usually out of sewer service for less than half a day.
Expect lawn damage in the installation area. We’ll be utilizing heavy equipment and digging up a large amount of soil. We will smooth the ground as much as possible. However, there will still be a large area of dirt around where we are installing and the grade will be rough.
The installers cannot avoid digging into irrigation lines and sprinkler heads. If your irrigation company marks the line locations before the installation it may prevent some damage. We will try our best to mark damaged sprinkler lines, but plan on contacting your irrigation company to make any necessary repairs and test the irrigation system.
It is normal for dirt to settle around tanks. It can take up to a year or longer for the soil to settle completely. You can expect 12 inches or more of settling.

Usually, yes. We use concrete tanks when we can because they’re durable and easier to install. If a semi-truck can’t get into your yard, we can use a poly tank instead.
